Thanks, Steve. Yes, i am a survivor (I didn't wanna sound superstitious, but it seems that i truly have a guardian angel. Worse could've happened to me in these incidents, but my guardian angel protected me to some extent).
And about my artworks, my only temptation occasionally is wanting my paintings to be perfect (i'm a recovering perfectionist, but what can i say, i haven't fully recovered from that).
SLART, thank you ever so for the shout-out and WOW. You are brave to put the whole proposal out there and BRAVE is GOOD. Affirmations aplenty abounding because of this bravery and your amazing work (art- and written). Love it. Love it. Love it!
Steve, your posts are very inspiring for me, and though i'm not as active as you, art still comforts me a lot. I didn't include these in my "50 shades list", but years ago two things happened to me that i thought i'd die (beside the one i mentioned).
Both happened when i was in high school. One was when my mom, my first brother and i were going home and a car hit us badly (none of us were injured but i was mortified sth worse would happen. Fortunately, one of my dad's colleagues dropped my brother and i off at our house so that my mom could go to police for both reporting this accident and repair our car [My dad's colleague and his family were our neighbors]).
The second situation was my fall from stairs.
One day after a session of my English class, i got a text from one of my cousins. Since i was both reading his text and not seeing one step (there were two steps in that staircase, but i didn't see one of them because i was tired a bit and hadn't slept before class), i slipped, turned and landed at the feet of the stairs on my hands. As a result, i became unconscious for a short time. Fortunately, i neither had any concussion nor my hands were broken, but one of my central teeth was shattered like a china dish (i was lucky all my tooth was still intact. Although its root was dysfunct, it was able to hold my tooth), and my classmates helped me walk down the stairs. Now, more than a decade after this, i regret this carelessness every time i look at my artificial tooth.
Oh wow! You are a survivor! With those two events and the swimming as well! Thanks so much for sharing and your kind words. But just focus on your own work :-) don’t compare to anyone!
Wow, a stunning proposal! My words in response to the work you're doing to 'confront, challenge and inspire' are these: fascinating, impressive and deeply evocative.

BRAVO!!!
Thank you so much, the writing of it made the exhibition come to life!
Not just to you, either! I can see it already in my mind’s eye, and it’s beyond impressive. 😁
YES!
❤️
Like I said in my post, just the act of writing it out, made it feel so real! The whole process was enjoyable! Maybe I’ll see you there!
OOOOOOOOOH, hope so!!!!!!! 😁
