My highlight has been my anniversary with my partner, dashing around Virginia's wine and beer and cider and mead and whisky district and then making it home safely, expanded from it all.

Oh I missed this, so sorry! Happy Belated Anniversary! Do you both drink?

Yes, in different ways and amounts. It is fun to get silly together and know it as a part of life. I think spirits are sacred and we do well to treat them that way. Thanks for asking!! and for celebrating us with us!

I was curious as to whether you enjoyed a tipple as some people think it's spiritually verboten. I'm glad you had a fun, silly time! *Hic!*

Oh, yes, I think "spirits" are very accurately named and to be taken seriously!

I found this from The Alcohol Professor:

“Looking instead at the etymology (the study of the origin of words and how their meanings have changed throughout history) of the word, we can see that ‘spirit’ is probably derived from the Latin spiritus meaning "breathing” or “breath” and also the “breath of life" as in the force that animates people; the force that gives them life.”

And we have written each other here on Substack I think about entrusting things to the wind, and the breath being the same root word--the breath being G-d.

Oh wow, thank you for the insight 🙏

When you wanna reveal sth you've done, in your case the exhibition, you have to build suspense among your subscribers little by little and oversharing about that ruins this process (i say it based on my experience of watching movies and series).

Thank you, Steve. I'll start working on some of my unfinished projects soon and use those pastels. And as usual, i'll share them in a Note when they're finished.

If you think you're an oversharer, Steve, the less you share on your Substack, the better. And about the highlight of my week, it was vacation to my hometown after six months (and buying a pack of soft pastels, plus some papers).

Thank you! Let’s keep it mysterious 😊

Oh that’s lovely. I’m glad you had a great time! I look forward to seeing what you create with the pastels. Buying new art stuff is always a highlight of my week!
