SLART, I love the responses you've received from your post about structure in your world as an artist. You've really struck a chord. As a low-tech person, I have to say we can create for ourselves what GQueues is doing by simply creating a follow-up folder. I shared my email inbox organizing practice a few years ago in my blog. You're always so generous about letting me share my stuff even though it's not on Substack, here it is in case it's of interest to your readers: https://raisingclarity.com/2013/02/how-we-are-organized/ Although I don't think it's wise to obsess, I definitely think it's wise to reflect on how we're organized, implement a change or two, and then practice it. We forget we're our own experiment, and we can change us whenever we want.
You sold a print! Fantastic; may many more of us buy you up!
And 300,000 people have viewed your work, that is CRAZY! You dang well better link up your website when it is ready! Sheesh. Your message and brand are powerful--get 'em out there!
Congrats on selling a print! I love hearing all the things you’re getting up to.
I do reflect on my creative practice but sense is like to come at that reflection from a slightly different angle. I certainly could use an organizational update so your post was a great call to get sorted.
I’ve taken the summer off of regular posting and will use the rest of this time to speculate on how I want to move forward with this work.
I'm still on break from my art practices, not because i'm really tired, but because i'm taking my time thinking of a plan for my future series. For my next series of paintings, i need to learn to draw human figures in various positions, because my next series of paintings is called "Scenes from my dreams", and in my dreams i see myself in various places (in a jungle, in a well, in cities looking at tourist attractions, ...).
