DREI FRAGEN with Super Sucklord
Artist known as The Super Sucklord shares his artistic wisdom.
Each Wednesday I ask a different artist the same three questions.
This week’s artist is someone I look up to—another art world outsider who plays by his own rules. A friend showed me his work about five years ago and I’ve been a huge fan since. Now, I have the pleasure of sharing this Sucklord edition of Drei Fragen with you today! Enjoy!
1. What first sparked your interest in creating art?
They didn't make the Toys that I wanted, so I had to make them Myself. At age 5 I painted a bunch of Fisher Price Little People to Look Like the OSMOND Brothers (Photo attached. First piece of Art I ever created)
2. What are your regrets?
Undervaluing myself and holding a general class resentment against the Art World. Letting myself feel like I didn't belong with Rich Successful people.
3. What wisdom would you offer someone beginning their art career, or exploring art for the first time at any stage in life?
Don't do it....
Check out Sucklord’s work here. As a bonus, he also reviews crisps! As a lifetime eater of crisps, this makes me fond of him even more!
…or if you’d rather. Please share this post with a friend.
The Osmond Bros should be in the Whitney.
Thanks @Eleanor Anstruther ❤️
