SLART, I am so excited about this issue of your Substack! The notes from Steve Veasey are spot-on helpful. I LOVE the call to tell us all what "crix" means. I resisted looking it up online so I could learn. Those shoes!!! I'm not much of a materialist but I almost want some of my own. You are creating your own gallery!!! And I'm touched at your shout-out about my work with you thus far. It's been a wild and wonderful ride and we're only at the beginning. I love what happens with the seeds I plant in others' gardens. Mwah! PS: That "rejection" letter is the kindest, best. It has already begun bearing fruit.
I'm not materialist either, but they make me feel vibrant, and they are art on my feed, a constant reminder to create!
Yes, it's a community project, it's slowly unfolded over a year as I've not had the headspace to push it, but it's now just starting to bloom. I need to put a lot more focus into this once my proposal is sent off. I want to mainly use it as a studio space, with periodic events, so it doesn't need constant supervision. An artist friend has previously got Arts Council funding, so it's easier for her to get accepted for a community project the second time round.
...and of course. I need to share how much you are helping!
I truly hope the ad advice serves you well.
Loving these weekly recaps.
And I'll admit- I'm not into Crocs- but I dig these ones. Well done!
Thanks Steve, I feel that they will. I'll take my time and use your sagely advice wisely :-)
I appreciate your eyes (for reading my recaps).
I said I was 'not into Crocs' once....

I will cherish that rejection letter!
OOoooh. I'm very excited to watch the birthing of Crix. And that letter...feels more like guidance to resubmit rather than a rejection.
and yes, it was wise guidance indeed.
Me too! You're guidance on the Crypt proposal helped me breeze through a one-pager for CRIX. Thank you!
Really! I'll love to read it when you're ready to share.
SURE!
Thank you!
