Very interesting, a treatise on why the artist should not fear AI nor denigrate it, but wield it as the tool it is.

Thank you. It is a tool and it can do so much but as you can see from the post, it sometimes acts like a search engine. Just relaying information generically. I asked it about famous people associated with Swindon for my project and it gave me false info about Simon Pegg growing up in Swindon. But as you said, it’s a great tool for correcting grammar or creating a structured document. I will explore what else I can do with it.

Damn. That is quite a conversation you had. I have no experience with ChatGPT so I found it to be more in depth than expected. Amazing that it can offer mentorship and solid advice like that. I know that sounds naïve, because...of course it can. It's fascinating to see it in action about a specific issue. Thanks for sharing.

I know?! It was wasn't it? Thank you for taking the time to read it! I recommend you have a play around with it, ask it some questions, give it a task to do, have fun with it! Yes, it can be very targeted, but if you ask for facts, it can get them wrong. Thanks for reading!

This is great. I love the journey this went on.

Thanks for reading dude! I could’ve carried on for hours, but it’ll break it in stages after taking actions instead.

This is what gives me excitement when it comes to AI. In the hands of an artist, it can be quite the tool and assistant, rather than the competitor we worry about.

Yes, me too! It’s a great assistant if you give it the right input. It’s the same with Midjourney, I’m not afraid of it as it can’t inject expression into its image creation. Of course it can create stunning images, but I just use it for concept ideas for my art now and again.

I read this as I am highly skeptical of AI and Chat GPT, to challenge my preconceptions. I also learned more about the 10-storey mural project! I love the 5-minute doors. Just the thing for this day and age. Wherever you agreed with Chat, I found that I agreed with you. Which helped me be a tiny, nano bit friendlier toward Chat (but not in any permanent way I will commit to).

Thanks for reading. Yes, it’s cool to be skeptical about AI, I get it. I just want to ‘Memento Ludere’ it and see what happens. It’s been fun so far, and will take with a pinch of salt! 🧂

Ooh, very nice, a very useful new verb.

That was an engaging and informative read. I enjoyed how you kept redirecting GPT to get a more human/warm response.

This hit me like a Nolan Ryan fastball: "To be a great artist, you must embrace the discomfort of self-doubt and uncertainty."

Sending good energy your way with the proposal!

Thank you for reading. Yes, I felt a bit let down when it was more human for a bit, then it gave a stock reply :-D

"To be a great artist, you must embrace the discomfort of self-doubt and uncertainty." This is *the* line. I'm going to post that quote in a moment actually.

Much appreciated, I need to put some focus into that this week. Let's see how it goes!
